About Cookies
Many websites load dozens of cookies the moment you arrive. Celebrate2004 is not one of them. This page explains exactly what is stored on your device when you read the magazine, and how to remove it.
What cookies are
Cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, are small pieces of data that a website asks your browser to keep. Some are essential for a site to work, some remember preferences, and many are used to track visitors across the internet for analytics or advertising.
What we store
We store one item, and only after you answer the notice that appears on your first visit:
| Item | Type | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your banner answer | Local storage in your browser | Remembers whether you accepted or declined, so the notice does not keep reappearing | Until you clear your browser data |
This entry is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it contains no information that identifies you.
What we do not use
- No tools that count, measure or chart our visitors.
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- No share or like buttons pulled in from social networks.
- No embedded videos, maps or widgets that set third-party cookies.
Because of this, declining in the banner does not switch anything off: there is simply nothing optional running in the first place. Your answer is still respected and remembered.
Removing the stored choice
You can delete the entry at any time through your browser settings, usually under privacy or site data. Look for the option to clear data for this website. On your next visit the little notice returns, ready for a fresh answer.
The reason for so little
A health magazine has no reason to know who reads which article. Keeping the site free of trackers means pages load quickly, nothing about your reading habits leaves your device, and there is no long consent form to wade through before you can read about stretching or digestion.
Server logs
Like every website, ours is delivered by servers that record basic technical information when a page is requested. This is not a cookie and nothing is stored on your device. Our Privacy Policy explains these logs and your rights.
