The Small Team Behind It
Behind every article on Celebrate2004 is a very small group of people. There is no newsroom, no marketing department and no board of advisors, just four writers who share an interest in everyday health and a belief that useful information should be easy to read. We write under pen names, partly for privacy and partly because we would rather you focus on the article than on the person typing it.
Who does what
- Clementine edits the magazine. She reads every draft, trims anything that sounds too sure of itself and checks that each piece ends with sensible advice on when to get help.
- Zinnia writes about food and digestion. She is the one who will happily spend an afternoon reading about fiber and fizzy drinks so you do not have to.
- Ambrose covers movement, stretching and desk life. He works from a standing desk he admits he forgets to stand at.
- Lysander looks after heart health and everyday habits, from walking routines to the slow work of changing a diet.
None of us holds a medical qualification, and we never write as if we did. That is a deliberate choice: it keeps us honest about the limits of what a magazine can offer.
From idea to published page
- A question comes in. Many topics start as something a reader asked, or something one of us wondered about on a busy day.
- We read before we write. Public health guidance and patient information from established organizations are our starting point.
- A first draft takes shape. The writer aims for short sections, clear headings and practical steps.
- The edit. Clementine checks tone, removes anything that could be read as personal medical advice and makes sure nothing is overstated.
- We keep it current. When guidance changes or a reader points out an error, the article is updated.
You can see the results in pieces such as How to Reduce Bloating and How to Lower Cholesterol Naturally.
Why we keep our role modest
Health writing online can be loud. Headlines promise quick fixes and articles speak with more certainty than the evidence allows. We try to do the opposite. Our job is to make a topic clearer, suggest small steps that are generally considered safe, and point you toward the right professional when something needs a closer look. If an article leaves you calmer and better prepared for a conversation with your doctor, it has done what we hoped.
Talk to us
Every message is read by one of the four of us. If you have a suggestion, a correction or a topic you would like covered, the Get in Touch page explains how to reach us. More about the magazine itself is on About Celebrate2004.
We would rather explain one habit well than promise you a whole new life.
