About Celebrate2004
Celebrate2004 is an online magazine about the ordinary side of feeling well. We write about the things that come up in a normal week: a stomach that feels tight after lunch, a back that complains after hours at a laptop, a cholesterol result that needs some thought, or simply the wish to move a little more. Our aim is to explain these topics clearly and kindly, so you can make small, sensible changes and know when it is time to ask a professional.
What you will find here
The magazine is organized into a handful of themes. Digestion covers everyday gut comfort, from hiccups to bloating. Movement looks at stretching, sitting and staying mobile. Heart Health focuses on the habits that support the heart and circulation. Alongside these, our Health, Guides & Tips and Lifestyle sections gather practical explainers on dental care, quitting smoking, wellbeing and more. A fuller overview lives on The Subjects We Cover.
If you are new, a good first read is our guide on how to stretch your lower back safely, or the piece on the benefits of walking every day.
How we write
- Plain language first. If a medical term is needed, we explain it in the same sentence.
- Cautious by default. We describe what is generally recommended and avoid big promises. You will not find miracle cures, invented figures or quotes from experts who do not exist.
- Small steps over overhauls. Most of our advice can be tried in a few minutes, on an ordinary day, without buying anything.
- A clear "when to get help" note. Every health article ends with the signs that mean a doctor or pharmacist should take a look.
Who is behind it
Celebrate2004 is run by a small team of writers who publish under pen names. None of us is a doctor, nurse or therapist, and we never present ourselves as one. What we bring is curiosity, patience with tricky subjects and a habit of reading public health guidance carefully before writing a word. You can meet the team on The Small Team Behind It.
What we are not
We are a reading resource, not a clinic. We cannot examine anyone, diagnose a problem or recommend treatment for an individual. Our articles are meant to help you understand a topic and prepare better questions, not to replace the advice of someone who knows your health history. Our page Health Information, Read Wisely explains this in more detail.
Say hello
We enjoy hearing from readers, whether you have spotted a mistake, have a topic you would like us to explore or just want to tell us an article helped. The easiest way is through our Get in Touch page.
